While they offer protection against dirt and minor irritants, they're best used on relatively smooth surfaces like gym floors, home interiors, park paths, and urban environments. We don't recommend using them on very rough terrain, sharp surfaces, or in extreme weather conditions.
Yes! The Classic version is particularly suitable for those with foot sensitivities or conditions. The wide toe box provides room without forcing separation, making it an excellent choice for people with bunions, hammer toes, or anyone who finds toe-separated designs uncomfortable.
The Classic is designed for direct wear against the skin, but can accommodate thin socks if preferred. Keep in mind that adding socks will alter the fit slightly and may reduce some of the ground feedback sensation.
With proper care and when used on recommended surfaces, the Barefoot Sock Shoe Classic should last approximately 600 km of wear. Using them on highly abrasive surfaces may reduce this lifespan.
Simply hand wash with mild detergent in cold water and allow to air dry naturally away from direct heat. Machine washing or tumble drying may damage the sole structure and shorten the lifespan of your shoes.
While designed primarily for walking and everyday wear, the Classic provides excellent ground feel for gentle exercise, yoga, and home workouts. For more intensive training or gym sessions, you might consider the Pro version with toe separation for enhanced grip and stability.
